PLEASE NOTE: THIS EVENT DATE HAS BEEN UPDATED TO FRIDAY, MARCH 13th!
Whether you’re a nonprofit or church leader, staff member, board member, or volunteer—if you’re involved in poverty alleviation in the West Michigan area, this is for you!
Love INC Newaygo is partnering with True Charity to bring this Community Workshop to West Michigan.
Join us to reimagine the way we fight poverty. Together, we’ll explore what it really means to walk alongside those in need—helping them connect with family, friends, and community in ways that foster lasting change. You’ll discover how to recognize each person’s unique needs and apply tailored solutions that turn charity from a transaction into a catalyst for transformation.
We’ll wrestle with big questions: Do we truly believe that every individual brings gifts and skills to the table? How can we design programs that break cycles of dependency and empower people to thrive? You’ll learn how the principles of exchange and reciprocity can restore dignity, making those you serve the protagonists of their own story.
Finally, we’ll reflect on the deeper work of poverty alleviation—addressing not just physical needs but spiritual ones. Together, we’ll see how the love of God transforms both the helper and the helped, inspiring hope and freedom for everyone involved.
