IRAs

If you are 70½ or older, you can donate to True Charity directly from your IRA. This distribution is not treated as taxable, and can be counted against your required minimum distribution. Giving this way has the potential to save you quite a bit on your taxes, especially if you do not itemize your deductions.

Do not withdraw the funds from your account. Your IRA custodian must make the payment directly to True Charity.
