Southeast Georgia True Charity Ambassador
Summary/Objective:
The Southeast Georgia True Charity Ambassador champions a movement toward more effective, compassionate, and outcomes-driven charitable efforts in the region, promoting local collaboration among churches and nonprofits.
Essential Functions
- Develops subject matter expertise through True Charity training and resources.
- Builds relationships with key nonprofit, church, and community leaders to promote collaboration and alignment with True Charity principles.
- Identifies barriers to movement toward effective charity practices in Southeast Georgia.
- Creates awareness among stakeholders identified as primary barriers to change and organizes and executes local educational opportunities to address the barriers. Examples: book clubs, field trips, discussion groups, speaking engagements, 1:1 meetings, and TC webinar events.
- Meets weekly with the national True Charity team to set objectives, align local activities with national objectives, support the recruitment of organizations to the True Charity Network, advance coalition-building, and analyze progress.
- Supports and attends the annual True Charity Summit.
Essential Competencies
- Excellence in oral and written presentation
- Excellence in administration and task management
- Proficiency in internet use and MS Office products

- Poverty relief work experience
- Ability to teach
- Attention to detail in writing
- A strong proponent of privately-funded approaches to helping the poor

Employment Details
This is a full-time salaried position. The selected candidate is an employee of True Charity, a subsidiary of Watered Gardens, Inc., a religious 501(c)3 non-profit headquartered in Joplin, Missouri.
VP of Advancement
Summary/Objective:
To develop financial support for the successful advancement of True Charity’s mission and brand.
Essential Functions
- Oversees donor acquisition, cultivation, and retention
- Oversees grant writing
- Oversees fundraising activities including donor events and direct mail solicitations
- Occasional public speaking, as needed
- Oversees data entry for reporting/analysis of donor and revenue trends
- Assists in the development of and maintenance of an annual budget
- Develops and manages annual goals
- Management of contract labor or staff congruent with department growth
Essential Competencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to organize and track multiple tasks
- Attention to detail in writing
- At least 5 years experience in fundraising or 2 year experience plus college degree in a related field
- Ability to utilize computers for data, email, and project management
Organizational Relationships
The VP of Advancement reports to the CEO, works alongside the VP of Programs and Operations, and the VP of Education.
